When Your Website Needs a Reset, These Questions Help
If you're looking to create a new website, or you don't feel like your website is resonating with you anymore, here are some questions that might help. I ask them before beginning every website project. Think of them as journaling prompts. At the very least, it will give you some insights and clarity. From there you can get creating or updating, having it to refer to as your North Star. I invite you to get cozy, make yourself a tea (or enjoyable beverage of choice), light a candle (or whatever feels good to you), and get writing!
What are 3 words that describe you or your business?
In one sentence, what do you do and who do you help?
What’s the main message you want visitors to take away?
If your business had a personality, how would you describe it?
Why did you start your business? What inspired you?
What’s something personal from your journey that deepens your “why”?
What makes your approach unique?
Who are your ideal clients(s), e.g. teens, schools, corporations, all of the above?
If your business had a tagline, what would it be?
What’s a favorite thing a client has said about your work?
How would you describe your brand’s color palette or overall vibe? Is it cozy and welcoming, like soft, warm colors? Does it have a fun and cheerful feel with bright, playful hues? Is it laid-back and casual with earthy tones?
